God put this scripture on my heart. A short God thought comes with it.
And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
Does God want us to just be saved? No.
Does God want us to live a life of shallowness? No.
Does God want us to grow? Yes.
Does God want us to build on Him. Yes.
Choosing God is a daily thing. A momentary thing in some cases. Everyday brings about new opportunities to choose God. But you've always got a choice. I've always got a choice. This is the great love story. Usually in my life, choosing God, means owning up to my selfishness and getting over it. The great thing is, God is always moving - are you going to move with Him?

Good thought. I think all too often we teach people to pray a prayer and leave it at that. But following Jesus isn't just about praying that prayer, it is a way of life. Like you said, following Jesus is a daily decision. Thanks for sharing.
