This summer has already moved by so quickly. I have already completely my Quantitative Analysis class at Portland State. I capped that off last week scoring in the 94 percentile on my standardized final exam. That means that only 6% of students who take the test nationally did better than I did. I am very happy to have such a good pay off after lots of hard work. I was also able to earn and A in the lab portion of the class, which after missing the first week was quite an accomplishment. I finish up my Calculus 3 class tomorrow morning at Clark. I have done well in the class so far, so I am hoping to continue my good performance and earn and A in that class as well.
While school is out, I already have a list of projects. First and most important, I need to work as many hours as I can, so I give myself a little bit of padding for fall quarter. I don't know what my actual study load with be like, but I have been told by many a Chemistry major to prepare for a lot of book grinding. Second I need to get some play time in. I am hoping to be able to get out on the lake a few times (possibly with the jet skis!) and just spend some time relaxing. Both of my Aunts should help facilitate this. Also, we need to do some general house cleaning. Clean the garage and office out and have a sale! It would be great to get rid of some of the life clutter I have accumulated over the past few years.
Sarah Pool found this quote and I love it:
I believe in the fundamental human obligation to try to do at least a little more than one is technically able to.
Here is to doing more than one is able and still maintaining sanity!
